Ambassador Morning Tea

Our Morning Tea programme has been popular and will continue through 2020 with guest speakers from community groups who received Foundation grants in 2019.
Guest speaker for the final Morning Tea for this year is Karen Posselt, President of Buderim Dementia Alliance, a volunteer organisation formed in 2018 to help create a “dementia-friendly” Buderim, as part of a global initiative to assist those living with dementia to live a high quality and purposeful life.
Over a million Australians are involved in the care of someone with dementia, so the topic is one of immense importance to all communities, including ours.
Karen will give us her insights on dementia, its impact on communities, and the work being done by volunteer groups like Buderim Alliance to assist communities to support people living with dementia and their carers.
