Buderim Foundation Thompson Charitable Fund

In April 2021, philanthropists Roy and Nola Thompson entrusted over $5 million to the Buderim Foundation. An additional grants program entitled the Buderim Foundation Thompson Charitable Fund was established.

The Foundation will operate the Buderim Foundation Thompson Charitable Fund in the same way as the Foundation’s other investments and the generous donation will be preserved in perpetuity with only the revenue distributed each year in grants.

Grants from the Buderim Foundation Thompson Charitable Fund are designed specifically to look after those in dire financial need and are open to organisations providing support throughout the Sunshine Coast, including the Sunshine Coast and Noosa Council areas.

So far grants worth $620,372 have been awarded to ten organisations providing support to people experiencing homelessness and dire financial distress on the Sunshine Coast.

We are currently accepting applications for the Buderim Foundation Thompson Charitable Fund grants and will be assessing these on an on-going basis.

Please note that all applications are subject to completion of an End-of-Project Report and grant acquittal as per the guidelines.
