The Buderim Foundation was launched in 2004 and, thanks to many generous donors in our community, we started distributing grants in 2008.

The concept is simple … the Buderim Foundation:
receives donations and bequests – money in
carefully invests the funds to generate income – money managed
distributes income as grants to Buderim based community organisations – money out

The funds are never spent thanks to our three very committed sponsors, our volunteers who donate their time and talent and our fundraising events, all of which cover our administration costs.

So far, the Foundation has provided:
$671,947 worth of Buderim Foundation Community Grants to 87 community organisations in the 4556 postcode area
$227,950
worth of Back-to-School vouchers for families and children in need (provided by the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal)
$110,000
given in first round of Thompson Funds Grants (est. 2021) to four organisations providing support to people experiencing homelessness and financial distress on the Sunshine Coast.

This is an injection of nearly $1 million ($988,397) back into the Community.
