Philanthropy Seminar for the Financial Planning Community

November 15, 2017 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

The Buderim Foundation is pleased to invite you and your team to an intimate ‘back stage’ opportunity to hear about the Buderim Foundation’s role in building a stronger Sunshine Coast community.

Learn how:
• The Buderim Foundation gets money in – through donations and bequests which are never spent. The earnings on the capital are distributed via grants to the local community. Hear a philanthropic client story from your colleague Justin Scattini of Ord Minnett. You will also be entertained and educated by Gary Hopkins, of Carvosso and Winship, about how you can enhance client relationships through conversations about estate planning, legacies, bequests and supporting the local community.

• The Buderim Foundation gets money managed – a growing pool invested for the foundation by your colleague Avril Staniland of Morgans. Hear how she came to be involved with managing the Coast’s very own ‘Future Fund’.

• The Buderim Foundation gets money out – the exciting stuff! More than $470,000 distributed to in excess of 70 local organisations since the Foundation launched in 2004. Hear firsthand from one of the many recipients: David Larkin (aka Chappy Dave) from Buderim Mountain State School.
Unlike many larger charities, this local Foundation is run entirely by a small army of highly committed volunteers, many of whom are highly successful and influential business people, professionals and philanthropists – devoted to ensuring the Foundation continues to grow and achieve its goals.

The Foundation hopes you can join us for this special peer-group event.

Your hosts:
• Avril Staniland – Morgans • Jayne Graving – Arch Financial Planners • Sandra Wills – Wealthways • John Kruger – Kruger Law • Swain Roberts – University of the Sunshine Coast• Amber James – Fresh PR & Marketing
