Australia Day Parade

Here’s what you need to know:

• This year, the Foundation is entering a float into the Australia Day Buderim Street Parade.
• Not only will the float be an opportunity for us to promote the Foundation and for Ambassadors to be amongst the community spirit, it’s also serving an extra special purpose… it will be the official announcement of the outcome of the 2018 Community Challenge and the launch of our focus for 2019.

Who:

• All Buderim Foundation Ambassadors are invited to join us on Australia Day
• We will be very recognisable in the parade with a huge truck (thanks to Shadforths) to transport our resident band, M7.
• We would like to have as many of our Ambassadors (including children, teenagers, and young adults!) as possible walking behind our Buderim Foundation branded float.
• If you have T-shirts from last year please wear them and we still have a few left over for this year.

When:

• Saturday 26th January
• The official grand parade kicks off at 9am at the Buderim Tavern.
• Meeting place for the Buderim Foundation float will be outside Buderim Pharmacy on Burnett Street at no later than 8:30am.
• Important to note: Main and Burnett Street will be closed from 7.30am. We suggest you park in the Buderim Bowls Club area or on Lindsay Road and walk to the starting point.
• The parade will finish at 9:30am on the Buderim Mountain State School oval where M7 will be in full swing with live entertainment until 11am.

Where:

• After the parade, the M7 will continue to play on the Buderim Mountain State School oval.
• We invite all Ambassadors to gather near the band after the parade where we’ll have the Ray White marquee set up for some shade.
• Please BYO coffee and a plate to share for morning tea.
• This will be a perfect opportunity for us to gather, connect and celebrate the success of the 2018 Community Challenge and launch of our focus for 2019.

• Please advise of your T-shirt size and arrange to pick it up prior (at 123Travel office in Buderim) or on the morning of the parade (Sizes: S/M/L/XL/XXL). Collection available from Wednesday 23^rd onwards (9-3pm daily)
• If for some reason, you are unable to walk but would like to join us for morning tea afterwards, that’s fine too.
• You are most welcome to bring new Ambassador prospects with you and we would encourage you to do so.
