Picasso and Einstein at the Lapin Agile Cabaret – Friday, 30^th September 2022 at 7.30pm

The BATS Theatre Company Inc is busy rehearsing for their next production “Picasso at the Lapin Agile” (written by Steve Martin and directed by Nick Smith and Tom Jermyn) at the Buderim War Memorial Hall.

BATS are donating the proceeds from the opening night on Friday, 30th September 2022 to the Buderim Foundation.  This is the fourth time BATS have supported the Foundation in this way.

This absurdist comedy takes place in the famous French Cabaret venue, Lapin Agile. Set in 1904, both Picasso and Einstein meet there and are on the verge of disclosing their amazing ideas, talent and theories. Einstein has his Theory of Relativity (published 1905) and Picasso will paint Les Demoiselles d’Avignon in 1907. They debate the value of genius and talent, while interacting with a host of other fascinating characters.

There will be table seating and the Belfry Bar and kitchen will be open.

So, invite your friends, book tables and ensure the evening is a huge success for BATS, the Foundation and, in the longer term, the Buderim community.  What an enjoyable way to donate to the Foundation!
