The 2018 Community Challenge
Update: The Foundation has received $399,500 from 75 donors since the launch of the 2018 Community Challenge in January.
What is the Challenge?
The challenge for the Buderim Foundation in 2018 is to grow the Fund from $1.4 million to $2 million… in just one year! The reason is simple. The larger the Foundation Fund, the more money is invested, and more income from investments means more grants for community organisations.
It’s what the Foundation does best… money in; money managed; money out.
(Challenge Update: after the distribution of grants worth $75,586 in September 2018, the Fund stands at $1.82m).
It’s eleven years since the Foundation’s first grants were given out in 2008. In those eleven years, 77 community organisations have received grants worth $459,443.
It’s a proven fact… the more money in the Fund, the more money goes out in grants and here’s the proof…
In 2008 three organisations received grants worth $13,752.
In 2018 (with the Fund at over $1.8m), 23 organisations received a total of $75,586.
A clear indication that the more money invested, the more income there is to fund the grants program.
So, eleven years after the distribution of the Foundation’s first grants, let’s take it to the next level. Let’s challenge ourselves to raise the Fund to $2 million by the end of 2018! Let’s make the number of grants given out over the next ten years even more impressive.
