Historic call for Grant Applications - 1 June, 2008
For the first time in its short history, the Buderim Foundation is inviting local non-profit organisations to apply for grants available through the Foundation's Community Grants Program.
Developed with the aim of improving Buderim's quality of life, the program has an estimated funding pool of around $15 000 to provide funds to a limited number of projects.
Buderim non-profit organisations are encouraged to apply for projects that will assist people in need to live healthy and fulfilling lives, add richness and diversity to local artistic and cultural endeavours, increase learning opportunities across all age groups, celebrate and showcase our heritage and local history, encourage and support those with sporting and other recreation interests and strengthen the social fabric of the community.
Mr Gary Hopkins, the Foundation's Chair congratulated Buderim donors with the vision to make a number of significant donations early in the Foundation's life, "We're excited to be able to reach this milestone of giving grants only five years from our inception with self-generated funds. We think we have set a real benchmark for other Australian rural foundations to follow with the faith shown in the foundation concept by our ever growing base of donors."
"We anticipate a real need for our funds and look forward to seeing what projects are put forward. Applications close on 31 July and we will be announcing our successful applicants in mid-September," said Mr. Hopkins.
Grant Guidelines and Forms are available on the Foundation's website www.buderimfoundation.org.au or from the Old Post Office.
