Buderim Foundation invites applications for $17,500 worth of grants - 29 June, 2010
The Buderim Foundation will distribute a record $17,500 to local organisations to fund projects that benefit the Buderim community.
Foundation Chair Paul Clark, announced recently that grant funds had increased 6% over last year, “The Foundation’s Investment Committee through wise investments has been able to grow our investments in difficult times to benefit the Buderim community. It is a wonderful result to see that grant funds have grown each year since grants were first given in 2008. This increase compares favourably to overseas community foundations, many of which stopped giving grants last year or greatly reduced their funding.”
The Foundation’s Grants Committee is looking to accept applications from 5 July. Closing date is 13 August.
Grant guidelines and the application form are now available from the Old Post Office.
Launched in 2003 by Her Excellency Ms Quentin Bryce AC Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, the Buderim Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that invests community donations and uses the income for grants to benefit the local community.
