The Foundation is working closely with the younger generation in Buderim. A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed by two of the Foundation's youth grant recipients, Fusion (Alcooringa) and the Sunshine Coast Youth Partnership (SCYP). These organisations have found ways combine their resources while implementing their grant projects.
Fusion continues to develop its Ballinger Road site which serves as a Buderim Youth Hub, with monthly youth activities nights. And SCYP is using its experience to train young Fusion and SCYP participants.
This training will enable a Youth Engage Action (YEA) Crew to plan and conduct another Buderim youth music event in 2013.
The Foundation has built links to Lions and to Rotary to find synegies in local youth support. We are now reaching out to the schools to develop funding opportunities for an even broader range of local youth.
