In addition to setting the goals and strategic direction for the organisation, Directors of the Board undertake all the normal responsibilities of any board including oversight of the Foundation’s financial and administration arrangements, governance, succession planning and obtaining the best outcomes from each of the Foundation’s seven Committees. Directors are actively involved in the work of the Committees, either as Committee chairs and/or Committee members.

Professor Paul Clark (Chair) - (07) 5444 5331 Professor Paul Clark was Foundation Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of the Sunshine Coast. He later spent five years as Vice-Chancellor of Southern Cross University in New South Wales, retiring in August, 2009. Paul has also held senior academic posts at universities in Melbourne and Rockhampton.
Paul is very familiar with community foundations. While at Southern Cross University, he established the Southern Cross University Foundation and created a strong relationship with the Northern Rivers Community Foundation. |

Heinz Seeberg (Deputy Chair) - 0458 588 433 Heinz Seeberg and his wife first visited Buderim in 1970 and were so impressed that their long term plan was always to retire here. This they did several years ago after the previous seven years spent in Switzerland. Heinz has extensive international, senior management experience and an acknowledged track record in strategic management, performance management, quality improvement and environment, safety and systems management. |

Leanne Evans - 0417 282 293 Leanne Evans has extensive senior management experience in government and non-profit organisations, including roles as Deputy Director General of the NSW Department of Sport and Recreation and CEO of the Australian Sports Foundation. As a silver medallist at the 1982 Commonwealth Games, Leanne believes that her involvement in the Foundation is a positive way of giving back to the Buderim community which generously contributed to her sporting success. |

John Kleinschmidt John Kleinschmidt moved to the Sunshine Coast in 1981 and to Buderim in 2008. John has extensive experience in Local Government management and more than a decade as a small business owner/ operator. John has been involved in community service for more than 40 years, is a Life Member of Apex, Life Fellow of the Australian Institute of Environmental Health and currently Chair of the Board of Sundale Retirement Villages. John has a strong interest in Corporate Governance and Strategic Planning in not-for-profit organizations. |

Swain Roberts - 0448 115 647 Swain Roberts has a background in legal and international finance. He was senior partner with a large, international law firm in the UK and Asia for 17 years. He returned to Buderim with his family in late 2006 and, in addition to his current professional work, Swain has also taken on a number of community roles with a strong emphasis on education. |

Margaret Thursby - (07) 5476 6921 Margaret Thursby has extensive marketing and communication experience in senior university roles spanning 19 years at the University of Queensland (UQ) and the University of the Sunshine Coast (USC). At UQ, Margaret got her first taste of philanthropy while administering a multi-million dollar Atlantic Philanthropies' project in Vietnam. As Director of USC's Marketing and Communications, Margaret led a team responsible for managing the University’s advertising, media relations, Web, corporate events, sponsorship and publications. |

Ken Waddington - (07) 5443 4866 Ken Waddington is a practicing solicitor with many years of experience, most of which has been spent on the Sunshine Coast. Ken's focus has been in the areas of commercial and property law, in particular structuring and tax advice, trust estates and succession planning. Due to his extensive experience in structuring, Ken has been involved in the establishment of a number of philanthropic and charitable institutions created by clients during their lifetimes or in their wills. |

Before semi-retiring to look after her current clients, Margaret was Accountant with Boral Ltd. and Financial Controller for MacFarms, the macadamia business owned by Arnotts Biscuits and subsequently Campbell Soup. |
